digital prints!
most most successful idea for this project (and definitely the one i kept pushing) was to do with the vase - it started off as this print but due to it being a sequence i thought it was appropriate to transfer it onto a zine and a little gif.
i think i always struggle to keep the vibrancy and authenticity of the drawings in my sketchbook in the refinement process and for me it's really about carrying on working on ways through which i can retain that in final outcomes.
i don't mind the vase prints but the main part of the image feels quite static - and that's the opposite of what most of the work in my sketchbook feels like. but the sequence on either side has that fluidity and that organic feel that i like to see in my work; and that was scanned straight from my sketchbook exactly as it was drawn.
maybe its a case of my final pieces just being slightly more polished and edited scans of what's already existing in my book?
