after deciding the overall direction i wanted my work to take i started working from some (questionable) poetry i've written recently and some of the subjects that popped up from that were this idea of feeling small, feeling big, safe spaces, femininity and gender identity.
the idea of safe spaces made me think of my room - then an idea arose from doing observational drawings from my desk where there's a mini me inside a vase.
this was my favourite idea and proof that i work better in sequence - it's all about narrative!
can see this working well printed on fabric and made into a tapestry!
