i was really excited to do this fan art brief and i felt it allowed me to really plan my compositions in ways i'm not really used to doing. i tend to go with the first compositional idea i have and this was beneficial because it pushed me to try out different ways of working with the same subject matter.

I didn't go crazy with the brushes on photoshop because i kind of wanted it to be mainly block colour. I like it but i feel like the orange is a bit off and i wish i'd drawn the bottom two characters a bit better? so they looked a bit more like the members of the collective?
also in retrospect, i've realised i just don't really enjoy it when my work is purely digital. Maybe if i experiment with brushes that mimic handmade textures i'll change my mind but for now i'm not the biggest fan.
